These are the rules for using Danes Price Checker ("Danes", "we", "us") at danespricechecker.com. By using the site or making an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who can use Danes
You must be at least 13 years old to make an account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they must agree to these Terms for you, including for any paid membership.
Your account
Give a real email address and keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
One person per account. Don't pretend to be someone else or use a username that does.
You can delete your account any time from Account → Delete account.
Memberships and billing
Member ($4.99/month) and Pro ($11.99/month) are monthly subscriptions in US dollars. Prices may include tax where required.
Your membership renews automatically every month until you cancel. We charge the card on file through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Cancel any time from Account → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the month you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
If you switch plans, Stripe adjusts the price for the rest of the month (you're charged or credited the difference).
If a payment fails, we may pause member features until it's fixed.
If we change a price, we'll tell you by email at least 14 days before it applies to you.
Refunds
Memberships are billed month to month and you can cancel any time, so we don't normally refund partial months. If you were charged by mistake, charged after cancelling, or something was broken, contact us within 14 days through the contact page and we'll make it right, usually with a full refund. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.
Prices, deals and legit checks
Danes gives estimates and opinions, not guarantees. Always look at photos, ask questions and check the seller before you buy.
Prices come from public listings on other sites and are estimates. They can be wrong, out of date or include fakes and mislabeled items.
Deals link to listings on other sites. We don't sell anything, we aren't part of your purchase, and we're not responsible for sellers, items, shipping or disputes. A price far under market can be a sign of a fake.
Legit check guides and the AI photo check are educational opinions based on what's visible in photos. They can't prove an item is real or fake. For expensive pieces, use a professional authentication service.
Danes is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Grailed, Mercari, Yahoo, Poshmark, eBay, or any brand named on the site. All brand names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Community rules (chat, profiles and photos)
Don't post or do any of the following:
Selling, promoting or helping make counterfeit items.
Harassment, threats, hate speech or slurs.
Sexual content, nudity or graphic violence. Anything sexual involving anyone under 18 is banned and will be reported to the authorities.
Scams, spam, or sharing other people's personal information.
Anything illegal, or content you don't have the right to post.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without warning. Photos are checked automatically and may be blurred or blocked. Use the Report button to flag problems.
What you post
You own what you post. By posting it on Danes, you give us permission to store, display and share it on the site so the service works (for example, showing your message to other people in a room). You can delete your messages, and deleting your account removes them.
Copyright complaints
If something on Danes uses your copyrighted work without permission, send a notice through the contact page (choose "Copyright"). Include your contact details, the work, where it appears on Danes, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate, and your signature (typing your full name is fine). We remove infringing material and may ban repeat infringers.
Using the site fairly
Don't copy our data in bulk, scrape the site, try to get around the members-only limits, share your account to give others membership, or interfere with how the site works.
No warranty and limits on liability
Danes is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be accurate, available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Danes and the people behind it aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from purchases you make, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we'll show a notice on the site or email you. Using Danes after a change means you accept the new Terms.
